Suitable types of glass
Only glass from bottles and jars are suitable for recycling because the glass is used to make new bottles and jars.
How to recycle glass
Wash your glass bottles and jars then put the lids back on.
All items need to be clean and loose.
All other types of glass are unsuitable
Other types of glass (Pyrex, window glass, mirrors) are unsuitable for this particular recycling. Visit how to dispose of items (leicestershire.gov.uk) to find out how to get rid of these items. Bins with unsuitable items cannot be emptied.
