Garden waste service terms and conditions


  • You have agreed to pay Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council to collect garden waste that has been placed in a brown-lidded wheeled bin. The period of collection runs each year from 1 April to 31 March and costs £24 per bin. Payment must be made in advance and the correct / current payment sticker displayed correctly for the service to be provided
  • No part-payments are permitted in any circumstances
  • If you move to another address within Hinckley and Bosworth, you should take your brown-lidded bin(s) with you and provide us with your new address and contact details
  • Bins are emptied every alternate week, except for the two weeks of Christmas and New Year, or when other factors such as inclement weather prevent collections (this includes where contents are frozen to the bin when we attempt to service)
  • Bin(s) must be presented and will be collected in accordance with the council’s wheeled bin and container policy. View the bin policy
  • We reserve the right to cancel the service and will not give any refund for any reason
  • The provision and repair of wheeled bins will be made in accordance with the council’s wheeled bin and container policy
  • Once payment has been made, you will need to allow 10 working days to receive your sticker, before your service starts
  • You will need to display your sticker on your bin, at the front. We will not empty any bin(s) that does not display a sticker. Please see illustration. You must mark your sticker with your house number and street name
  • You can share a bin(s) with your neighbours, but we will only retain one contact name and details. This person will be responsible for adhering to these terms and conditions
