Garden waste service terms and conditions


  • You have agreed to pay Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council to collect garden waste that has been placed in a brown-lidded wheeled bin. The period of collection is now 1 June to 31 May. Payment must be made in advance and the correct/current payment sticker displayed correctly for the service to be provided
  • Once payment has been made, you will need to allow 10 working days to receive your sticker, before your service starts
  • If you pay by direct debit and your payment fails, the service will be suspended until payment is received
  • No part-payments are permitted in any circumstances
  • If you move to another address within Hinckley and Bosworth, you should take your brown lidded bin(s) with you and provide us with your new address and contact details, a relocation sticker will be sent to your new address. This will require placing over your old address on the original sticker
  • Bins are emptied every alternate week, except for the two weeks of Christmas and New Year, or when other factors such as weather conditions prevent collections (this includes where contents are frozen to the bin when we attempt to service)
  • Bin(s) must be presented and will be collected in accordance with the council’s wheeled bin and container policy. View the bin policy
  • We reserve the right to cancel the service and will not give any refund for any reason
  • The provision and/or repair of wheeled bins will be made in accordance with the council’s wheeled bin and container policy
  • You will need to display your sticker on your bin, at the front. We will not empty any bin(s) that does not display a sticker. Please see illustration
  • You can share a bin(s) with your neighbour, but we will only retain one contact name and details. This person will be responsible for adhering to these terms and conditions
