Coronavirus: information, advice and FAQs

Flying insects

Bees

Bees play a hugely important role; they pollinate flowers, fruit, vegetables and crops and play a vital role in our food chain as well as that of other animals and insects.

Therefore Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council will not treat any type of bee and encourages those who are affected by bees not to seek the destruction of swarms or nests.

If you have bees then you can get the advice of a local bee keeper through the British Beekeepers Association website or consult Yellow Pages or a similar publication to find a local pest control company who will advise you further.
