If you receive a discount/exemption and there is a change in your circumstances which affects your entitlement, you must tell Council Tax within 21 days of the change. Failure to do so may lead to a fine.
If the property remains unoccupied and unfurnished after any exemption expires, then there will be a 100% council tax charge.

We aim to deal with applications for discounts within one month of receiving them. While you wait for your discount to be applied please ensure that you continue to pay your council tax bill in line with the instalments set on on your current bill.
