Proof of earnings when payslips are not available
If you are claiming housing benefit and/or council tax support and you are working, we will need to see proof of your earnings. If you have just started work and have not received any payslips or do not have enough payslips as proof of your earnings, you can ask your employer to complete a certificate of earnings.
Your employer must make sure that he/she stamps the form with their company stamp or attaches letter headed paper to the certificate of earnings when submitting this to the council.
