Affordable Housing Supplementary Planning Document
Overview
The Affordable Housing Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) forms part of the Local Plan 2006 to 2026 (formerly LDF) and expands upon policies contained within the Core Strategy (PDF).
The key objectives of the Affordable Housing SPD are:
- To provide guidance and further detail relating to the council's policies 15, 16 and 17 of the adopted Core Strategy
- To optimise the provision of affordable housing as part of new housing developments in the borough
- To encourage the timely delivery of affordable housing
The Affordable Housing SPD (PDF) was adopted by the council on 24 February 2011.
