Statement of community involvement (SCI)
Overview
The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out the standards to which the council will engage and consult the public and other stakeholders during the production of the Local Plan, as well as when dealing with planning applications. Planning Practice Guidance requires local planning authorities to review their SCIs every five years.
The latest Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) was published in 2026.
