Changing a name or address
Under section 33 of the Licensing Act 2003, you must notify us, as soon as possible, of any of the following:
- A change in your name or the company name
- A change in your address or the company address
It is an offence not to do so, carrying a fine of up to £500 upon conviction.
Please note: if you sell your business
The new owner must apply for a transfer. This is not a change of name on the premises licence.
A premises licence can be surrendered at any time.
Replacing a lost licence
Under section 57 of the Licensing Act 2003, you must be able to produce your premises licence (or a certified copy), and display the summary.
It is an offence not to do so, carrying a fine of up to £500 upon conviction.
How to request a change or a replacement
To make a change of any of the above on your premises licence or to request a replacement:

Alternatively, you can contact Licensing, and make sure to send us:
- Both parts of your existing premises licence (if you are not able to provide both parts, please include the reason for this)
- A payment of £10.50, made by debit or credit card, or by cheque (Cheques must be made payable to Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council)
