Annual awards will honour volunteers who ‘make a difference’.

The hunt is on to find Hinckley and Bosworth residents who make a difference to the lives of others through volunteering. We are urging residents to nominate a person or group who deserve(s) recognition for the help they give to others.  

The Borough Council's making a difference community awards include individual and group categories as follows:

  • Creating a sense of community pride
  • Young volunteer(s)
  • Protecting our community’s environment
  • Contributing to our local heritage, culture or tourism offer
  • 50 years of volunteering

How you can nominate

Before nominating an individual or group, we ask you to:

To nominate your volunteer(s), we ask you for the following information:

  • Who you are nominating (individual or group)
  • Your nominee's name, address and telephone number
  • How your nominee makes a difference
  • Your name, address, and contact details
  • A photograph of your nominee (optional upload)
  • Additional documents such as group leaflets or testimonials (optional upload)

Nominations must be received by 13 October 2024. 

Results  

A judging panel will consider all of the nominations, and the awards will be presented at the voluntary and community sector celebration event which is taking place at Hinckley Rugby Club on Thursday 14 November 2024. All individuals nominated, and representatives from groups nominated, will be invited to attend.
