Visitors to Burbage Common enjoyed a fun-packed day on Sunday (8 May) at its annual open day event.

A marquee transformed the area around the visitor’s centre at the Leicester Road entrance, accommodating a number of stalls including craft and charity stalls and local and national environmental charities.

The event, organised by Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council, made the most of the natural environment with workshops, demonstrations- including falconry, bee keeping and bird box making - plus Morris dancers, maypole dancing, crafts and other outdoor activities to entertain the thousands of visitors who came along. There was also a farmers’ market area and many other food and refreshments stalls.
