Music in the Mead season launches with coronation special
Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council will be launching their summer programme of ‘Music in the Mead’ concerts.
There will be a special ‘Music in the Mead Coronation Special’ on Sunday 7 May to mark the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.
Grab your picnic and share your ‘Coronation Big Lunch’ with family and friends with a performance from The Jazz Jones Orchestra, and family-fun walkabout entertainment from 1pm until 3pm.
Enjoy the sounds of traditional jazz, a special coronation playlist and traditional rousing British ‘pomp and circumstance’ favourites.
Cat Stilling, Events Co-ordinator for the Borough Council said: “This will be a very special occasion and we look forward to families and friends joining us to celebrate the coronation and the start of our popular series of outdoor live music performances.
“We will be distributing reusable and recyclable union flags to children and as we would expect this event to be popular, we would encourage you to bring a chair or picnic blanket. Events staff will be in attendance if anyone requires any assistance.”
