Free summer activity brochure for children, young people and families
An electronic brochure packed full of summer activities and events for young people and families in Hinckley and Bosworth can now be downloaded from the Borough Council’s website.
The in-depth guide to ‘What’s Going On’ this summer is a free electronic booklet aimed at zero to 19-year-olds and is packed full of information that is sure to keep them busy during the school holidays.
‘What’s Going On’ can be viewed or downloaded for free.
There is information on sports activities, a reading challenge at the libraries, and a whole variety of different events at locations throughout the borough. There is also information on the children’s Snap Dragon Festival taking place in Hinckley (2 to 4 August 11am to 3pm). Most activities are free with others costing no more than £1.
It is also worthwhile to check with the individual venues included within the brochure to see if there are any other activities happening; keep up to date with changes and if advance booking is required.

With many families taking the decision to ‘staycation’ at home this year I am delighted that once again we have been able to pull together this essential summer activity and event guide. It is a great resource with details on a wide range of activities and events for babies, children, young people and their families in Hinckley and Bosworth along with some helpful information and advice.
With the cost of living increases I am sure that this guide will help families plan days out helping them to spread any financial cost although I am pleased to say many activities are free, please download and take a look.
