Vote for your favourite park

Everyone is urged to vote for their favourite park in Hinckley and show how much they love their parks.

The experts have already had their say and, only a few weeks ago, it was announced that both Hollycroft Park and Argents Mead were awarded a prestigious Green Flag Award.

However, can we go one better this year and get both parks into the top 10? They are both up against some of the top parks in the country in a competition to find the ten most popular parks in the UK and need your vote.

Both parks are listed in the online People's Choice Award, which gives the public the power to decide the top ten parks from all of the Green Flag Award sites across the UK.

Councillor Lynda Hodgkins, the Borough Council’s Executive Member for Parks and Open Spaces said:

“We are very proud to have once again been awarded a Green Flag Award for both Hollycroft Park and Argents Mead.  Both parks are very popular, regularly used for a range of activities for children and adults alike, sports, musical performances, our hugely popular Snap Dragon children’s festival and Feast our gastro-extravaganza. I would urge local residents and visitors to take a few minutes to vote an if you can’t make your mind up, you can vote for both!”

Voting closes 30 September, with the top 10 winning sites announced on 7 November 2023.
