Snap Dragon Children’s Festival returned to Argents Mead as TV’s Pip and Posy cap off three fantastic days
THE popular Snap Dragon Children and Families Festival returned this week (5 August to 7 August), with three fun-filled days for all the family in Argents Mead.
The festival started with Flower Power themed activities on Monday, recognising and celebrating the council’s 50th anniversary. On Tuesday, the Olympics and Paralympics took centre stage, with Go for Gold the day’s theme.
On Wednesday, National Play Day was celebrated with yet more fun activities throughout the day. The day was made even more special by a visit from TV stars Pip and Posy, of Milkshake! and Sky Kids fame.
Each day, children enjoyed playing in a giant sand pit, part sponsored by Hinckley BID.
Local radio station Fosse 107 put on a fun Snappy disco, while JoJo and Tigby were in the storytelling tent each day.

It was great to see smiles on so many faces at Snap Dragon this week. Thank you to everyone who attended, we hope you had a great time and had some days to remember.
