Men encouraged to join wellbeing bike rides
Men (aged 18+ and above) across Hinckley and Bosworth are being urged to join a new, free series of bike rides to aid their mental health and wellbeing.
The first men's wellbeing ride will take place on Saturday 12 July from 9am until 12pm, and they will then continue fortnightly. Cyclists can look forward to covering around 15-20 miles in total, but the rides will be tailored to the level of experience of the individual riders. No experience required, all welcome.
This is a great chance for men aged 18 and over to get some exercise in a social setting and boost their mental health and wellbeing.
Rides will start from Earl Shilton Methodist Church (LE9 7ND). To book your place, visit our wellbeing rides webpage or email ambassadors@hinckley-bosworth.gov.uk or Tel. 01455 255856 for further information.
Cllr Mark Bools, Deputy Leader of the Borough Council, said: "I encourage any guys who are thinking about giving this a try to get involved. All you need to do is bring your bike, helmet and bike lock along.
"Exercise is a great way to meet new people and lift your mood. Send an email or pick up the phone to book your place, it may be one of the best things you do this year."
