Free Summer activity brochure for children, young people and families
An electronic brochure packed full of summer activities and events for young people and families in Hinckley and Bosworth can now be downloaded from the Borough Council’s website.
The in-depth guide to ‘What’s on this summer’ is a free electronic booklet aimed at 0–19-year-olds and is packed full of information that is sure to keep them busy during the school holidays.
‘What’s on this summer’ can be viewed or downloaded for free here.
There is information on sports activities, a reading challenge at the libraries, and a whole variety of different events at locations throughout the borough. One of the highlights of the summer is the council’s children’s Snapdragon Festival taking place in Hinckley (Monday 4 – Wednesday 6 August 11am- 3pm). Most activities are free with the others costing no more than £1.
It is also worthwhile checking with the individual venues included within the brochure to see if there are any other activities happening; keep up to date with changes and if advance booking is required.
Included is also lots of advice for families, accessing support, information about our uniform swap shop and lots more.
Councillor Robin Webber-Jones, Children and Young People’s Champion at the Borough Council said: "As in previous years, many families are opting for a 'staycation' at home. I am delighted to announce that we have once again compiled this essential summer activity and event guide.
"This resource is packed with details on a wide range of activities and events for babies, children, young people, and their families in Hinckley and Bosworth, along with some helpful information and advice.
"I am confident that this guide will assist families in planning their days out, helping to manage any financial costs. Many activities are free, so please download the guide and take a look.”
