Hinckley playground upgrades completed as summer holidays begin
Works to upgrade the children’s play area in Paddock Way, Hinckley have been completed.
Several new pieces of play equipment have been installed, including a climbing dome, space rocker, inclusive roundabout, swings and more; all with new safety surfacing.
The project cost around £70,000 and was funded by a contribution from the developer.
Cllr Lynda Hodgkins, Executive Member for Parks and Open Spaces, said: “It’s so important that children have fun, exciting and safe places to play in Hinckley and Bosworth. I’m pleased these upgrades have been completed in time for kids to enjoy the new equipment over the summer holidays.
“The project demonstrates the Borough Council’s continued commitment to safe play spaces across the borough.
“My thanks go to the council’s Green Spaces team for their work on this, and to Eibe Play for supplying the new equipment.”
