Hinckley steps back in time for free medieval family fun
Visitors to Hinckley’s Argents Mead found themselves stepping back in time as they enjoyed a day of free medieval-themed entertainment on Saturday (12 September).
A medieval arena hosted interactive performances and re-enactments throughout the day, including a medieval skirmish, shire court and battle.
Families also enjoyed a fashion show, archery tournament and medieval tales for children.
Cllr Mark Bools, Deputy Leader the Borough Council, said: "It was great to see families having plenty of fun in Argents Mead on Sunday with the Medieval ‘Have A Go Day’ in full swing.
“It’s so important that everyone, especially children and young people, are engaged with history and a day full of fun activities is the perfect way to do that.”
This event was one of a series of Heritage Open Days events taking place across the borough throughout September.
