Time to nominate your Hinckley & Bosworth 'Active Champions’

The Hinckley & Bosworth Local Sport and Health Alliance annual sports awards gives you the opportunity to recognise all the hard work individuals, sports clubs, organisations and schools have undertaken to help others keep active and healthy this year.

We are looking for mentors, leaders, volunteers, teams, and clubs that go above and beyond to encourage and facilitate sport and wellbeing across Hinckley and Bosworth.

Would you like to thank someone or a sports club/organisation/school for their support or recognise and celebrate their hard work? Has someone helped an older person keep active by regularly joining them at a weekly walk? Have a sports organisation and its members supported their local community? Or have you as an individual taken up a new sport and got the family to join in? – If so, the Hinckley & Bosworth Local Sport and Health Alliance want to hear from you.

Deputy Leader, Cllr Mark Bools said: “The aim of the awards is to recognise, promote and reward sporting and wellbeing achievements of clubs, teams and individuals across the borough. 

“Whether it is someone you admire for their passion in sport, or someone who has inspired you, instilled great confidence in you or your child, or perhaps given up a lot of their free time to help in a sports club please take a minute and nominate them.”

The deadline to make your nomination is Friday 18 December 2026.

The Awards Evening will take place at Hinckley Rugby Club on Thursday 28 January 2027 at 7pm.
