Borough commemorates Commonwealth Day

Hinckley and Bosworth commemorated Commonwealth Day earlier today (12 March) when it participated in a nationwide flag raising ceremony.

The Mayor of Hinckley and Bosworth, Councillor Ozzy O’Shea was joined by the Mayoress and fellow councillors when he raised a special Commonwealth flag at Hinckley Hub as part of a UK-wide flag raising event that took place on Commonwealth Day.

The Mayor said: "I am delighted that we have joined together with many other cities, towns and communities up and down the country to commemorate Commonwealth Day and to celebrate the very worthy unity of the Commonwealth."
