Even the wet weather could not stop families and visitors to Hinckley celebrating all things ‘spooky’ when it held its annual Spooktacular Saturday event at the weekend.
Whilst the event moved indoors to the Britannia Centre everyone enjoyed a ‘fang-tastic’ day of free activities, which included pumpkin bowling, freaky face painting, creepy crafts, and spooky stone painting with #islastones, a themed stilt walker and scary stories with Tom the Tale Teller.
Local radio station Fosse 107 provided the soundtrack to the day; pumpkin carving was judged and many ghosts, ghouls and other halloween costumes were spotted.
Executive Member for Culture at the Borough Council, Councillor Keith Nichols said:
Thanks to everyone who helped put this event on and even with the last minute decision to move everything indoors because of the weather, it has proved once again to be extremely popular with families enjoying the many activities on offer. This daytime event has meant all ages can take part and enjoy all the fun of Halloween.
