Year-round voice opportunities

We run a Voice Forum for young people aged 11 to 19 years who either live in or attend a school/college in the borough, and are passionate about local politics and making a difference to the community we live in. The meetings take place on the first Wednesday of each month and aim to provide young people with a place to express their views, as well as giving them opportunities to make a difference to their community.
We share strong links with Leicestershire County Council, particularly its youth services, and help to run the annual Make Your Mark ballot – an opportunity for young people to raise awareness of local and national issues which are then raised at Youth Parliament. We aim to support any young people looking to use their voice.
