Warm welcome provision grant fund

Applications

Applications reopen on 1 October 2026.

About our warm welcome provision grant fund

Since 2023, we distributed funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) to support voluntary, community, and charity organisations within the borough of Hinckley and Bosworth, who wished to provide a warm space (warm welcome sessions) for residents and their families. The UKSPF ended in March 2026.

From 1 October 2026, eligible organisations can apply for a warm welcome grant of £600 if they agree to:

  • Offer a heated space during the winter months
  • Be open to everyone
  • Offer refreshments such as a warm drink
  • Provide the warm space completely free of charge

We will consider applications to assist with the cost of providing warm welcome sessions. Examples of associated costs could include:

  • Energy costs linked to the delivery of the project
  • Food and refreshment costs
  • Improving or enhancing an area through a provision
  • Expenses for offering a new activity, such as equipment costs
