Big bin clear out collection service

You, as a resident of the borough, can make use of a new service (charges apply), if you have waste too large for your bins, to be collected.

The new big bin clear out collection service is available Tuesdays for Hinckley and Burbage and Wednesdays for the rest of the borough. It is for residents who have ‘too much waste for the tip and not enough for a skip’. 

Planning a house move, or a clear out? We will deliver a large four-wheeled bin to your property and collect it six days later, for a small charge.  

You can easily book and pay for this service. You can request a 660-litre refuse bin or a 1100-litre refuse bin, depending on how much waste you have and the available space at your property. You can also order extra recycling bins, textile bags and a bag for small electrical items, included in the price.

Cost per seven days' hire:

• 1100-litre bin: £60
• Double service: two 1100-litre bins: £100
• 660-litre bin: £50
• Double service: two 660-litre bins: £80

Available for free with every booking:

• Two 240-litre recycling bins: Free
• 10 textile bags: Free
• One sack for small electrical items: Free

There are some restrictions on what you can put in the bins. We cannot take, for example:

• Construction waste
• Hardcore waste
• Business waste
• Garden waste
• Large volumes of wood

Book the big bin collection service

You must present your bin(s)/bags for collection by 7am on the morning of the collection date, and you must make sure that our crews have access to the bin and can clearly see it, to enable a successful collection.
