The council's constitution
Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council adopted a new constitution in 2017:
The constitution sets out the rules by which the council operates, and gives a framework in which councillors and officers can work. It contains the rules on how meetings are run, who has power to make decisions, code of conduct for councillors, rules about contracts and financial matters.
The constitution is kept under review, with changes likely to be made by Council each year.
