What is a disabled facilities grant?
A disabled facilities grant (DFG) is a local council grant to enable disabled people to carry on living safely and independently in their own homes.
A variety of works can be covered by a DFG including:
- Stair lifts and through floor lifts
- Level access showers, wet rooms and kitchen adaptations
- Wheelchair access: door widening and ramps
- Improving or adapting heating systems
