Apply for a temporary event notice

Fees and how to apply

Fee

The fee for a temporary event notice (TEN) is £21 per notice.

The £21 fee is to cover the cost of officers and administrators time from Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council (as the licensing authority) and officers from the two responsible authorities, Environmental Health and Leicestershire Police who are consulted on every application.

The fee is not refundable if the application:

  • Is withdrawn
  • Is cancelled
  • is too late
  • Is unsuccessful
  • The event does not go ahead for any reason
  • You have exceeded the maximum number of TENS or days allowed by law

Please note: a temporary event notice cannot be changed once acknowledged by the licensing authority. You can cancel a temporary event notice up to 24 hours before the event is going to take place, this event will then not count towards your total yearly allowance of temporary event notices. However, your application fee cannot be refunded.

Disclaimer: By proceeding with the application, you have agreed that you have read and understood the above information.
