Reapplying for your postal vote
Overview
When you apply to vote by post, you can choose to have this arrangement for up to three years at a time. If you want to vote by post for more than three years consecutively, you must reapply before the arrangement expires.
This is a new rule that was introduced by the Elections Act 2022.
We will contact you a few months before your postal vote is due to expire to let you know it is time to reapply. We use emails, text messages and letters to get in touch.
We are currently writing to everyone who applied for their postal vote before 1 November 2023.
How to reapply
The quickest and easiest way to reapply is online using the button below.
To complete the application, you will need to provide your National Insurance number and be able to upload a clear picture of your handwritten signature.
