How to pay council tax

Pay by cheque/postal order/cash/post office giro and bank giro

Cheque or postal order

Please make cheques or postal orders payable to 'Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council' and write 'A/C payee only' across them. Always quote your unique account reference number. Post your payments to:

Rugby Road,
Hinckley,
LE10 0FR.

Cash

You can make cash payments at any of the country's outlets which have PayPoints or post offices operating within them.

By bank giro credit

Stationery for this type of transaction can be obtained from the Hinckley Hub. Payments can be made by bank giro credit free of charge at the Hinckley or Market Bosworth branch of HSBC.

Post office payments

If you wish to make payment at the post office, please ensure you take your council tax bill or adjustment notice with you as this has your unique barcode on the top right hand corner. This will be scanned to ensure that we know which account you are paying. No fee is payable for paying at the post office.
