The Wildlife Trust is an organisation promoting nature conservation. It owns and manages a number of ecologically important sites. The Environment Agency is the regulatory body with responsibility for the protection of natural water resources, conservation along waterways and water bodies, monitoring of water quality, pollution control and flood defence. You should contact them if you are undertaking works on or adjacent to any watercourse.

Entrust

Entrust provides funds for communities in the vicinity of a registered landfill site. Entrust is the regulator of the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF) an innovative tax credit scheme which enables landfill operators (LOs) to contribute money to enrolled environmental bodies (EBs) to carry out projects that meet environmental objects contained in The Landfill Tax Regulations 1996 (Regulations).
