Thursday 30 October

Due to essential maintenance, some of our council tax and benefits online forms will be unavailable, from 8am to around 5pm. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Collect your free trees and hedging

Collecting your trees

The trees are very small (20cm to 60cm each) so can easily be collected on foot. They are also small enough to be easily carried on public transport, but you will need to make sure they don’t get damaged in transit. Larger amounts of hedging may require a car or a couple of people to carry home.

If you can bring a bucket, a pot, or a reused bag to collect your tree, that would be appreciated. If not, we will provide paper bags.

We will email you to confirm your order and then to remind you of the collection day. You don’t need to print these emails but it would be helpful if you could have them available on a smartphone, in case of any queries.

If you can’t collect your trees yourself, you can ask someone else to attend. Please make sure they know the name and address on the order form, and what has been ordered.

Further information

Hopefully, we will be able to run this scheme again in 2026.

Alternatively, there are many online suppliers of cell grown trees (trees planted from seed in a small container) which you can purchase for a small fee. For example the Woodland Trust online shop (woodlandtrust.org)
