Support available: food provision, money saving apps and advice

If you are facing difficulty feeding yourself or your family, help is available. Food banks offer short-term assistance if you are struggling to purchase and afford food. Additionally, there is a range of different support services available that can provide longer-term assistance if you’re struggling.

Hinckley area food bank

The Store House – Elohim Christian Church

Elohim Christian Church (ECC) provide emergency, non-emergency and school holiday hampers to those in need in and around the Barlestone area. Criteria for support includes if you are out of work and/or waiting for benefits, low income or times are tough. The People's Pantry

Community fridge with mixture of fresh and frozen produce to help those in need.

Community fridge - Joy

Environmental project aimed at helping to redistribute surplus food from shops and supermarkets. This is open to anyone and everyone no referral needed just take a bag. They update regularly on their Hinckley community fridge (facebook.com) facebook page.
