Volunteer as a litter picker

Overview

Our Clean Neighbourhoods team fully supports community litter-picks and litter volunteers throughout the year. We can provide litter pickers, gloves, high visibility vests and bags to help volunteers in the work that they do. We also offer guidance and safety advice.

We currently have around 110 litter picking volunteers who enjoy helping in the community, working flexibly in the areas they choose and for the amount of time that is suitable to them. There is no strict regime in place, and we are grateful for any and all help that is given. Full bags can be easily collected on request via support for litter pickers

We also support groups who want to litter pick and throughout the year there are national events, such as the Great British Spring Clean in March, during which time we encourage our volunteers to become involved.
