Planning appeal process

Commenting on an appeal

We will send any comments of support or objection which we received whilst considering the planning application to the Planning Inspectorate. These will be fully considered by the Inspector who decides the appeal. If you did not write at the application stage, or you did write and now have something new to say, you can send your comments online using the appeals casework portal (acp.planninginspectorate.gov.uk)

The Planning Inspectorate will send copies of your comments to the appellant, this council and the inspector. You must make sure that your comments are made before the deadline. Any comments received after the deadline will not normally be accepted and will be returned to you. If you receive your comments back the inspector has not taken them into account.

Please note, for householder, advertisement or minor commercial (shop front) appeals you do not have the opportunity to make further comments.
