Rural Needs Supplementary Planning Document

The Rural Needs Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) forms part of the Local Plan 2006 to 2026 and provides supplementary guidance to the council’s policy 17 of the adopted Core Strategy

The key objectives of the Rural Needs SPD are:

• To set out the approach to the provision of housing in rural areas
• To give further guidance on economic development in rural areas
• To give support for the provision of community facilities in rural areas

The Rural Needs SPD (PDF) was adopted on 24 February 2011.
