Man fined over town centre fly-tipping
A Hinckley man has been fined £800 after he was found to have dumped several black bags on Church Walk in Hinckley in April 2025.
Following the investigation, the Borough Council was able to issue a fixed penalty notice to a local resident which has been paid, This is discounted for early payment (within 10 days) to £400.
Cllr Lynda Hodgkins, Executive Member for Parks, Open Spaces and Neighbourhood Services, said:
To dump bags on a main thoroughfare even if it was near a commercial waste bin, is still fly tipping.
This fine serves as a reminder that the Borough Council take fly-tipping seriously and that you can be fined or prosecuted if caught. Thank you to our Clean Neighbourhoods team for their work on this case.
The council offers a range of collection and pick-up services all at very reasonable prices for a variety of items.
