Pay your rent

How to pay

There are a number of ways to pay your rent:

Direct debit

Direct debit payments can be made on the 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd of each month. In order to use this method of payment, you will need to complete a mandate. If you wish to change your direct debit details, or require a direct debit mandate, please contact the Tenancy Management Team on 01455 255861.

Online

Go to pay online. Then follow the link 'pay housing rent'. Please make sure you have your tenancy reference number ready. If you don’t know this number, please call the Tenancy Management Team on 01455 255861, and the number will be sent out to you by post.

Please note: when paying online, you will not be able to view your account or outstanding balance. To find out any details about your account including your outstanding balance, please contact the Tenancy Management Team on 01455 255861.

Standing order

In order to create a standing order with your bank to pay your housing rent, please use the details below:

  • The council's bank: HSBC, Hinckley Branch, 10 Market Place, Hinckley
  • Bank sort code: 40-24-19
  • Account number: 71354701

When making a payment, please ensure you have entered your rent reference number (10 digits) to help allocate your payment correctly. If you don’t have your rent reference number, please contact the Tenancy Management Team on 01455 238141.

By post

Postal orders and cheques should be crossed and made payable to Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council. Please send them, along with your rent card, to Hinckley Hub, Rugby Road, Hinckley, Leicestershire LE10 0FR. Please do not send cash through the post.

24 hour telephone line

You can pay your rent 24 hours a day via our telephone line: 01455 619617.

Alternatively, if you do not know your 10 digit rent reference number, please call a member of the Customer Services Team on 01455 238141 and ask to pay your rent.

Allpay

Allpay cards can be used to pay your rent at any Post Office or anywhere that operates the PayPoint scheme. Payment can be made by cash or by debit/credit card. If you wish to order an Allpay card, please call 01455 255861
