Annual canvass - keeping the electoral register up-to-date
Your annual canvass form (household enquiry form) will arrive soon. The annual canvass form is not a registration form, it is used to check that the information we hold on your property is still correct. If there are new residents added to your household enquiry form we will send them a separate registration form (invitation to register form). All the people in your household, who are eligible to vote, need to register individually.
Household enquiry form
You can respond in one of four ways:
- Online: Complete annual canvass form (householdresponse.com)
- By text: To confirm no changes text 'nochanges' and your security codes (for example: nochanges 123456 12345678) to 80212. Please note that you will be charged for this service
- By phone: To confirm no changes call: 0800 197 9871
- By post: Using the freepost envelope enclosed with your form
You are legally obliged to provide your information for the electoral register. If you don't, you may be removed from the register. If you knowingly provide false information, you may incur a fine and six months in prison.
Any new residents added to your household enquiry form will be sent an additional form to complete. All new residents will need to provide their national insurance number and date of birth. You can complete the register to vote form (GOV.UK) or contact us.
