VE Day ’75 Celebration - Event cancelled

It is with regret that Earl Shilton Town Council have taken the decision to cancel this event.

We have made this decision in accordance with the latest government guidance, that we should stop non-essential contact with other people, this includes large gatherings and crowded places such as our events.
 
We will continue to monitor and review the situation for any events that are due to take place from July onwards and of course keep you updated.

VE Day commemorative pop up exhibition at Hinckley & District Museum

House of Bayard living history camp, 10/05/2020

Take a step back in time at Bosworth Battlefield.

The House of Bayard represents a 15th Century French household on loan from the King of France to the Lancastrian cause (Henry Tudor) during the Wars of the Roses and will be portraying a medieval military camp for the weekend. Their medieval camp (complete with their own period bread oven) includes archers, men at arms and, being from the continent, guns.
