The last parliamentary elections were held in 2017. The next parliamentary elections are due to take place in 2022.
The last European parliamentary elections were held on 23 May 2019. There were to elect MEPs (members of the European parliament) for the East Midlands constituency.
County council elections
The last county council elections were held in May 2017. These were to elect county councillors to represent Hinckley & Bosworth on Leicestershire County Council. The next County Council elections are due to be held in 2021.
Borough council elections
The last borough council elections were held in 2019. These were to elect borough councillors to sit on Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council. The next borough council elections are due to take place in 2023.
Parish council elections
The last parish council elections were held in 2019. These were to elect parish councillors to sit on any of the 24 parish councils within the Hinckley & Bosworth area. These councils represent the local community in which they are located. The next full parish council elections are due to be held in 2023.
The last referendum which took place was in 2016. A referendum typically allows the voter to choose a 'yes' or 'no' answer to a question. In 2016, the choice was 'leave' or 'remain'.
May take place before the next scheduled elections take place if a vacancy should arise through a resignation or death.
