Active Awards 2025

Hinckley and Bosworth’s Local Sport and Health Alliance (LSHA) Active Awards recognise all of the hard work individuals, sports clubs, volunteers, organisations and schools have undertaken to help others keep active and healthy.

From schools, community groups and organisations, to individuals, our Active Awards celebrate the wide and varied contributions made to make our residents more active.

There are many individuals, community groups and organisations who work tirelessly to help bring opportunities and expert knowledge to those who may not have access otherwise. Awards and nominations can help people and groups show that the work they do is effective, allowing them to carry this on in the future via funding opportunities.

Nominations are now open

We are looking for volunteers, coaches, mentors, clubs and teams who work in sport and physical activity and have demonstrated outstanding achievements or contributions to the community.

Reasons to consider nominating an award could be:

  • You know someone who was nervous about starting a class but felt supported by an inclusive environment
  • You have or know a child who has made progress in their chosen sport thanks to a dedicated mentor
  • You know a jogger who volunteers at their local park run

No matter who it is, we want to hear from you and celebrate their achievements and contributions to the community.

To nominate, please fill in the short application form below. The process will take less than 10 minutes but can mean so much to the person or group nominated.

Nominations close on Monday 5 January 2026.
