Getting help if you are homeless
How and when to contact us
In the first instance we ask that you register for homelessness assistance online. A member of the team will then make direct contact with you. Due to a high volume of presentations we will prioritise those who are already homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness.
If you are unable to complete an online referral, we would ask that you complete our homelessness contact form. Please ensure in the email you include your name (and the name of anyone else in your household), your full address including post code, or last settled address you became homeless from if you are currently without accommodation and reasons as to why you are approaching for assistance. We would also ask you to include the date that you are due to become homeless from, or the date you became homeless. As well as any relevant information that may assist, such as medical details. You will also be required to provide ID for all members of your household, so its good practice to attach this information to the email from the start, as well as any evidence of homeless, such as a copy of the notice served by your landlord. A member of the team will then make direct contact with you. Due to a high volume of presentations we will prioritise those who are already homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness.
If you are unable to complete an online referral, or send an email then you can either drop into the Hinckley Hub where a sit and wait service is operated or call 01455 238141 and ask for a member of the Housing Options service.
If you find yourself immediately homeless, please contact us on 01455 238141 and ask to be put through to the Housing Options service advising that you are homeless that day or if you become homeless out of business hours, please contact the control centre on 01455 251137.
