Make sure the land/premises complies with planning conditions

Compliance with condition check

To check whether a property complies with the conditions imposed on it when planning permission was granted, submit a compliance with condition check request.

The compliance with conditions check will not include information relating to building control applications. This information is data protected, and any requests must be made in writing from either the owner of the property or their solicitor. For more information: contact building control (lbcp.co.uk)

If your request is for a piece of land/premises that does not have an easily identifiable boundary, you will need to submit a plan to identify the area to be searched.

Fees

Before you submit a compliance with conditions check request, please review what type of application the planning permission was granted under. If the application was a householder application, the fee will be £43. Any other type of application (including outline, reserved matters and full applications) will incur a fee of £145.

In summary, the cost for this service is:

  • £43 for a householder planning permission
  • £145 for any other type of planning permission (including outline, reserved matters and full applications)

Please note, the fee is for the time we spend researching the information. We cannot guarantee the quality of the information we supply to you.

Response timescale

The target determination date is eight weeks from the date a valid compliance with conditions check is submitted. Your application will not be considered valid until the correct fee has been paid.
