Memorial safety inspections
Memorial safety testing starting in November 2023
The sections to be tested at Ashby Road cemetery are:
B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J, K, 4, 5, 6,14,15 and 16

During this time all memorials in the following churchyards will also be tested.
- St Marys Church, Hinckley
- St Marys Church, Barwell
- St Simon and St Judes Church, Earl Shilton
- Baptist Chapel, Earl Shilton
- United Reform Church
- St Michael and All Angel's Church, Markfield
Memorial inspections consist of a visual check and a hand test, undertaken by trained staff, in accordance with the borough council's memorial safety policy. Every care will be taken to ensure no damage is caused to memorials during testing.
