Your new food waste recycling collection service
Food waste collection service: flats and apartments
From February/March 2026, we will be introducing a new weekly food waste recycling collection. We will collect your food waste weekly on the same day as we collect your other waste and recycling.
As a flat complex or apartment block, your service will differ slightly from the other domestic properties, because you have a bin store.
We will provide you with:
- A kitchen caddy
- A starter roll of liners to line the caddy
- A 140-litre outside food waste bin, located in your bin store area and shared with other residents
- Full instructions on what can and cannot be recycled and how to maximise the benefits from this new service
These items will be delivered to you nearer the time; we will let you know when this will happen.
