Bosworth Link's Archaeological Weekend

A fun, history filled weekend for all the family to get involved with.
Location: Congerstone village.
20 archeological test pits will be excavated this year, and this is your last opportunity to take part in this fascinating project. All ages are welcome, however under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult. Full training will be provided as will all equipment, plus tea on the Sunday.

Hundreds of vehicle owners from all over the Midlands and beyond are expected to show off their beautiful and carefully restored machines to a crowd of several thousand people in Hinckley town centre and Argents Mead.

Spark your artistic curiosity and join us in 2025 for a view of local artistic talent on 27th and 28th September.
The Market Bosworth Open Art Exhibition aims to give space to some amazing art that we know is being produced behind closed doors just waiting to be seen. The weekend will be full of colour, different design, media and character. It is a relaxed and pleasant occasion for artists to feel seen and appreciated for all their effort and passion. It is also a fantastic opportunity to buy original art at exceptionally good value prices.
This Art Exhibition is open to all, and is a celebration of the talent around us.
Admission is free. Most of the artworks will be for sale - come along and see the work of over 50 artists in a wide variety of styles and media at affordable prices. During the day some artists will be on hand to talk to and will be staging demonstrations.

Roy Birch (Baritone) & Ian Orr (Piano)
Roy's musical education began as a chorister at Leicester Cathedral and then he studied at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Ian was born in Leicester. After organ lessons with Frederic Allt, he studied at the Royal College of Music.
Their programme of light classical music includes songs by Roger Quilter, Charles Stanford, Hubert Parry and Peter Warlock, together with some piano solos.
