Christmas lights switch-on and Tin Hat Fair

The big switch-on of the Christmas lights in Hinckley
Live entertainment will start at 4pm on Friday in Market Place with a range of food vendors, market stalls and street entertainment, followed by a staggered switch-on of the light trail in Argents Mead. The lights around the town centre will be turned on by a special guest at 6:30pm.
The Tin Hat Fair will be at Regent Street on:
- Friday 22 November, from 4pm to 10pm
- Saturday 23 November, from 12pm to 10pm

Follow the trail of Christmas lights through Argent's Mead.
Thousands of twinkling fairy lights in hues of green, blue and pink will create a trail of lights around the trees, pathways and bandstand in Argents Mead, Hinckley from Friday 21 November 2025 until Monday 5 January 2026. The 'Lights in the Mead' will be turned on in zones on the night of Hinckley's Christmas Light Switch-On from 5pm on Friday 21 November 2025, with all the lights being on in the Mead from 6:30pm until late that evening. 'Lights in the Mead' will then be on daily, every evening thereafter (Saturday 22 November 2025) until Monday 5 January 2026, alongside the town centre's Christmas lights and Christmas tree in the Market Place.

Christmas craft fayre

Join the Thorton community for their annual Christmas craft fayre.
Location: Thorton Community Centre, LE67 1AH.
Well-established craft fayre as well as the usual cake, tombola and raffle stalls, there will be beautiful and unusual items for sale from the many craft stalls for those unique gifts!
There will be games for the children and the cafe will serve snacks and drinks at very reasonable prices. Father Christmas will be arriving with a sack full of goodies, hopefully by mini-steam engine travelling through the village.
