Support for Ukraine
Welcome
Hinckley and Bosworth stand in unity and solidarity with the people of Ukraine at this time.
To show our support, the Ukrainian flag is being flown at the council offices and at Argents Mead, and a candlelight vigil has also been held with hundreds of local people attending.
Council Leader, Cllr Stuart Bray has also released a statement.
“Following the dreadful news that Russia has invaded Ukraine we want to reassure Ukrainian nationals and those of Ukrainian descent of our ongoing support and stand ready to support a government refugee scheme.
“We support Ukraine as a sovereign, self-governing state and hope that the situation will be resolved soon. Our thoughts are with all those affected by the conflict.”
