Why are we reviewing It?

We’re preparing a new Local Plan to cover the plan period of 2024 to 2045. It will replace the existing documents and be published as a single plan. 

What have we previously consulted on?

We’ve held several formal consultations on the Local Plan Review since 2018, including:

  • New Directions for Growth (2019)
  • Draft Plan (2021)
  • Pre-Submission (2022)
  • Draft Plan (2024)

What happens next?

After this consultation:

  • We’ll review feedback and finalise evidence
  • A Regulation 19 pre-submission version of the Local Plan will be prepared and published for consultation in 2026
  • Submission of the Local Plan to the Secretary of State targeted by November 2026
