Regulation 16 (next steps)

Preparation is underway for the Regulation 16 stage of the Desford Neighbourhood Development Plan review (DNPR). Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council will undertake the formal publication and consultation, inviting representations from consultees and the wider community. Further details of the consultation will be published in due course.

Regulation 15

A valid Regulation 15 submission of the Desford Neighbourhood Development Plan Review was received by Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council in May 2026. The Borough Council has confirmed that the submission meets the relevant statutory requirements and has formally accepted the plan to proceed to the Regulation 16 publication and consultation stage. The Regulation 15 acceptance letter can be viewed below:

Regulation 14

The review proposals were published for public consultation in accordance with Regulation 14 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended). This stage was led by Desford Parish Council, acting as the qualifying body. The consultation ran from 29 September to 7 November 2025.

Strategic Environmental Assessment and Habitat Regulations Assessment

Together with your comments, it will be used as part of the statutory plan making process and will be available for public inspection. Signatures, email addresses, and telephone numbers will be removed before disclosure as a matter of course. We cannot provide anonymity or accept comments marked ‘private or confidential’ and comments that include offensive, racist, discriminatory, threatening, and other non-relevant statements will be destroyed.
